J8 have been investigating how we change as we grow, we had some visitors into school to interview and we found out some interesting facts. Mrs Diamond's baby could sit up and smile but she couldn't walk or talk!! Martine's niece (who is a toddler) came into J8 and she was great at talking, could jump but couldn't yet write her name!! We welcomed some boys in J8's brother and he gave us lots of information about being a child, his favourite food and games. Then two teenagers (well only one as one was 11) came into J8 for an interview and we were all surprised that they don't sleep all the time or spend|\jhy6 all their time on their phones!! Our dinner supervisor James was a little nervous about answering questions about being an adult but we found out some very useful information. Finally for our topic we had a video from Mrs McDonnell's mum (a retired adult) and we were surprised that she doesn't like Chinese food and she had to cycle to the cinema (pictures) when she was younger!
Translink bus trip
During Translink Bus Week the pupils in Middle School were lucky to get a trip on a double decker bus. We got a tour of the town, we went through the bus wash, went to the bus station for some treats and one of the bus drivers sang a few songs for us! Then we got a special treat of an ice cream in Boyds Shop!!

Apples and Growth
Our new topic is about "Apples and Growth". We started our topic by visiting a local orchard. The pupils really enjoyed this experience of searching, finding and investigating the apples as they grow.
In class we are participating in a range of activities through all the curriculum areas investigating apples and their growth. We enjoy ordering the apples for size, sorting and counting the apples.
We have made an orchard in our classroom and we can't wait to continue activities associated with apples. More photographs will follow shortly...
