We enjoyed making 3D Lighthouses from different types of media i.e Kitchen roll tubes, A4 card for the base the lighthouse and grey tissue paper for the rocks. We painted the kitchen roll tube red and white to represent the ligthouse, then we painted the base card blue and stuck on grey tissue paper to represent the rocks. We then coloured in a picture of Mr Grinling rowing across to the ligthouse and stuck the coloured picture onto the sea.
The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch-'STEAM' Course- Animation and Film Making.
Using the iMotion App we acted out a role play scenario of 'Mrs Grinling' giving his lunch to 'Mr Ginling' and then he rowed out to sea to clean his lighthouse.
We loved dressing up and acting the characters from the book. Half of the class acted out the characters from the book and the other half were the 'Film Crew' taking lots of photos of the role play scenario using the iMotion app to create the short movie.
Animation-We then cut out small pictures from the characters of 'The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch' and each pupil got a turn of making up a story line i.e (The seagulls tried to eat 'Mr Grinling's' lunch while he was rowing out to the lighthouse to clean the light). Each pupil also got a turn in taking photos of the story line by using the iMotion app to create a short movie. We all enjoyed working as a team by moving the cut out characters around the page to create a small animation movie. It was great fun.

We have looked after our plants very well by taking turns completing our duties by watering the plants every day and making sure they get sunlight. We have been monitoring and recording the changes of our plants every week and recording the results in our 'Green Bean Diaries'. We have enjoyed seeing the changes and we are very proud of the way our plants have turned out so far.
