Environmental Visits.
On alternate Friday’s S1 travel on the bus for an environmental visit. Opportunities are provided for pupils to develop their social skills and to interact with their peers and staff in a new environment. S1 pupils visited the Lock Keepers Cottage in Toome where they walked along the canal, looking for signs of Autumn such as fallen colourful leaves, acorns, pine cones, hedgehogs and squirrels. All pupils benefited from their outdoor learning, displaying excellent listening and turn taking skills, even experiencing and enjoying some time at the outdoor gym.
