Great effort by everyone for the UNICEF playground challenge.

24th Sep 2019

In June we organised a Playground Challenge week where each pupil was encouraged to participate to raise funds for UNICEF and promote rights for children around the world who are in poverty or disaster areas. We held a special assembly and Miss Reid explained how our money could help. We watched a video clip of children who need help with basic needs like shelter, food and clean water. Our School Council put posters up and circulated information to help each class prepare and everyone in school enjoyed the Playground challenge.

Classes designed their own obstacle courses which they set up a variety of equipment to move a ball around.

Café Revive pupils also contributed to the fundraising and we received a cheque with thanks for £300 to send to UNICEF along with funds raised through the event.

Mr Chapman came along to one of our meetings to present the cheque along with Café Revive pupils and we sent it all off to UNICEF. We are pleased to say we raised over £400 which will be doubled by the Government. This helps us be more active Global citizens as we care about changing the lives of others around the World.
