As part of our topic Write Away we looked at different animals that were able to write/spell words in our favourite stories. We loved the story of Charlotte’s Web where the clever little spider was able to weave words to help her friend. We also enjoyed the story of the Snail and the Whale. The tiny snail was able to use her slimy trail to write words that would save a huge big whale. This reminded us that each of us are important no matter how small we are and encouraged us to make good choices to make a positive impact on other peoples lives. We made some chocolate puff pastry snails that went down a treat. We all decided these sort of snails were much more appetising than the real ones!!
