On Friday the 18th January, S3 visited the the Flax Coffee Shop & Visitor Centre in Upperlands.
Our visit began with a lovely tea break. We had lots of delicious goodies to eat and drink and were made so welcome by the wonderful staff.
We then went to see the visitor centre and museum. We learned lots about the history of the centre and the history of Upperlands. Our favourite part was hearing about the "Upperlands Goat"!
We learned that in the olden days most children and young adults our age would already be working! This really shocked us!
We also saw the wonderful model village which had loads of little figures and houses from the old days.
We really enjoyed visiting the Flax Coffee Shop & Visitor Centre and would recommend it to all of our family and friends in Kilronan.
