S1 have been developing their Functional Numeracy skills.
In class, pupils have been matching and identifying coins and adding coins to make a variety of values.
When out on an environmental visit, we put these skills to use in a real life situation.
Pupils visited Meadowlane Shopping Centre, where they were given the opportunity to locate an item on their shopping list, pay for the item at the till, check their change, receipt and take responsibility for their shopping.
