J4 are ‘Dino explorers'

9th Nov 2020

Our focus in class has been centred on promoting the wellbeing of our pupils and to rebuild our class routines and relationships! In October we explored the topic ‘Dinosaurs’ and sought to promote each of these targets! Our activities, such as building an outdoor dinosaur den with natural materials encouraged the children to work together and therefore encourage the building of their relationships with each other! Within our Wednesday routines we really enjoy cookery activities, in one of our lessons we made salt dough and explored how we could make our very own dinosaur fossils!

We incorporated many songs and stories to support our learning. Our favourite song was “Who’s the King of the Dinosaurs?” and we particularly enjoyed the story “The Worrysaurus” by Rachel Bright and Chris Chatterton. This story helped us to understand how we can let go of any worries and anxiety we might feel!

We tried to capture as many of our learning experiences as we could for you to see. We hope you enjoy viewing them as much as we enjoyed being Dinosaur explorers!
