Let's talk PANTS

12th Mar 2026

As part of our target work this term, pupils have been taking part in the NSPCC Pantosaurus lessons, an important programme designed to help children understand how to stay safe in a clear, age appropriate and empowering way.

During the lessons, we listened to the Pantosaurus story and enjoyed the catchy Pantosaurus song, which helped introduce the idea that our bodies belong to us and that we have the right to feel safe. As a class we discussed what private parts are and why they are private, the difference between safe and unsafe touch and who we can talk to if something doesn’t feel right.

We also learned the 5 PANTS rules, which remind children how to stay safe
PPrivates are private
AAlways remember your body belongs to you
NNo means no
TTalk about secrets that upset you
SSpeak up, someone can help
