March has been a busy month for J7. Our current topic is ‘Space’ and we have been learning through various activities about what is out there, beyond our world, J7 thoroughly enjoyed using their creative flair to design aliens and underpants for the door display competition. Although we didn’t win we were proud of our door and enjoyed the whole experience. Science week also gave them an opportunity to investigate rainbows, creating one in a jar, by cleverly using liquids of various densities and colours. They also ‘Grew a Rainbow’ using kitchen roll, felt tip pens and some water. The highlight of Science Week was designing a kite which the children were able to take home and enjoy in the great outdoors.
