S3 have had a fantastic week diving into hands on science investigations. Our focus has been on exploring how materials can change when they are mixed with different ingredients and components. The pupils were really engaged as they observed reactions, and communicated about what they saw happening.
As part of this learning, we created our own fizzing and exploding bottles! The class loved watching the mixtures bubble, foam, and sometimes erupt with surprising force. These experiments allowed us to explore concepts such as chemical reactions, cause and effect, and the properties of everyday materials—all in a fun, sensory, and interactive way.
