In J5 this week to celebrate Science Week we built and decorated our own volcano and then made it erupt. This was linked to our current topic of Dinosaurs, teaching the children that some people believed that the dinosaurs were made extinct by erupting volcanoes. The children enjoyed this activity especially watching the foam lava pour down our volcano. We placed dinosaurs around the exterior of the volcano to replicate what it was like thousands of years ago.
