Young Enterprise Project

8th Jun 2019

Our students in S4 & S5 have taking part in the Young Enterprise Programme this year. They have set up a company called Kilronan Flower Power.

Over the last few weeks, the production and marketing team have been extremely busy.

The marketing team have been involved in naming their company, thinking about a company logo and making promotional videos to ask the general public for tin cans and wool. They have sent emails and made telephone calls to our local Environmental Officer John Murtagh at Mid-Ulster Council and local business man Gerard McErlean, asking for compost and succulent plants and have been busy making advertisements to promote their product.

Our production team have been busy washing out and preparing the tin cans so they can be re-used as a flower pot. They have been involved in decorating the tin cans with wool, filling the cans with compost and planting the succulent plants. Everyday, we ensure a team of our students are looking after our succulent plants by watering them.

We are looking for to retailing our plants at Meadowlane Shopping Centre on Wednesday 12th June 2019, 10:30-12pm.
