On a Wednesday morning S7 visit Tesco in Magherafelt to gather up ingredients for their Home Economics lessons. Before visiting Tesco, pupils make a list of the ingredients needed and find the price on the Tesco online website to give them an indication of how much money to bring. Pupils take either a written or photographic shopping list with them and are given the opportunity to work in small groups, when they arrive at Tesco to find their ingredients. Once our ingredients have been found, we make our way to the self checkout to pay for our items, helping us further develop our money management skills.
Pupils in S7 are developing their confidence to ask a member of the Tesco staff for help if they have been unable to locate a certain item.
