As a group we focused on the Great Fire of London in 1666 as part of our fire topic. We talked about the importance of fire safety and created fire safety posters which were put up around the school. During our World Around Us lesson we listened to songs and read books related to the Great Fire of London. Each pupil created their own house using cardboard boxes and art materials during Activity Based Learning. To finish our topic fire men came to visit which gave the pupils the opportunity to ask any questions, find out what the inside of a fire truck looked like, what resources/ tools they use during a fire.
